UV3000S SPF Test Instrument
Labsphere’s UV3000S incorporates the latest technologies and software enhancements to achieve accurate in vitro SPF Sun Protection Factor analysis of cosmetics and sun care products to qualify and receive the “very high, 50 or higher SPF” sun protection label, and HEVIS sun protection testing. Driven by industry requirements to simplify product labeling and improved in vitro methods to validate product UV Protection, the UV3000S is designed to comply with approved in vitro methods and in vivo spectrophotometer methods.
UV3000S Automated Sample Stage
The Automated Sample Stage for the UV3000S is designed for repetitive, high-volume applications, enhancing efficiency and precision in sample testing. The stage is powered and controlled through the five-pin interface on the front of the UV3000S instrument baseplate and attaches to the instrument using two over-center draw latches, similar to the manual stage.
UV3000F UPF Test Instrument
Labsphere’s UV3000F incorporates the latest component and software technology into an industry proven system architecture, to achieve accurate UPF, critical wavelength and UVA:UVB ratio of fabric samples. Driven by rapidly evolving industry requirements to simplify research and development or quality control for fabric samples, the UV3000F is designed to comply with recently approved testing methods
UV3000 Validation Kits
Labsphere’s UV3000 Validation Kits are designed to ensure the optimal performance and accuracy of the UV3000 Ultraviolet Transmittance Analyzers and are backwards compatible to UV2000 instruments. These kits include a set of calibrated standards and a performance validation routine, enabling users to conduct on-site validation and re-validation. The calibrated standards capture six relevant spectral bands, providing a comprehensive benchmark for accurate and repeatable measurements.
Molded PMMA Plate Helioplate HD6
Accompanied by a quality certificate, each Helioplate HD6 substrate (4.8µm roughness) ensures compliance with international standards such as ISO 24443 (2012 and 2021), ISO 23675:2024, ISO 23698:2024 and others, making this substrate indispensable for the accurate assessment of Sun Protection Factors (SPF) and UVA protection (UVAPF).

Spreadmaster Robot
With its ability to spread sunscreen products evenly on substrates PMMA molded (HD6) and sandblasted (SB6), the Spreadmaster ensures reproducibility and precise measurement of sun protection, facilitating research and development of new, effective products. Fully compliant with solar standards such as ISO 24443 (2012 and 2021), ISO 23675:2024 and ISO 23698:2024, this robot is indispensable for the accurate assessment of Sun Protection Factors (SPF) and UVA Protection (UVAPF).
Thermaster Chamber
The Thermaster has been specifically designed to control and guarantee substrate surface temperature during the in vitro solar testing process, in order to comply with the various standards. Fully suitable for PMMA substrates molded HD6 and sandblasted SB6, the metal support (with the substrate on top) is used to maintain temperature by inertia during the weighing and application stages (< 2 mins).
