A new software update to SpectraWiz, which is included free-of-charge with each spectrometer, is now available for download at www.StellarNet.us. The Spectral-ID application has been updated to allow users to save sample spectra to a specified library, and later perform a real time search using unknown samples to look for matches. This new feature works for Raman, NIR, or UV-VIS spectra using covariance mathematics to assign a correlation value and display the top 10 library entries that qualify as a match.

The Model 763 OEM seed laser diode driver (pump laser diode driver) from Analog Modules is ideal for driving 14-pin butterfly packaged laser diode modules or semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA) for use in CW or pulsed fibre MOPA and EDFA systems. The driver is implemented as a transconductance amplifier (analogue voltage in, scaled current out) with operation up to 1.2A, 3.0V and pulse widths down to 10ns. The driver circuitry operates from a single +5V power source. All other required voltages are generated on the board by high efficiency switching power supplies. The 763 is manufactured to the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC requirements.
