Kinetic Systems has been at the forefront of vibration isolation and control since its inception in 1968. Through continuing research of vibration effects on equipment and structures, Kinetic Systems has pioneered many state-of-the-art developments in vibration isolation, damping, and structural design. Kinetic Systems' engineers routinely solve a wide variety of complex vibration isolation problems for customers in applications as diverse as aerospace, medical research, laser R&D, and semiconductor equipment.
By continually striving for and producing a superior product, they have become a trusted name in academic, industrial and government research facilities worldwide. They are totally committed to offering the very finest advanced vibration isolation and control systems and optical tables. They provide to a continually evolving range of precision applications in metrology, interferometry, laser research, semiconductor manufacturing, and virtually anywhere external vibrations adversely affect the operation of precision equipment.
The new MK52 negative-stiffness optical vibration isolation table from Kinetic Systems achieves vertical and horizontal natural frequencies of 0.5 Hz or lower without limiting its ability to support static loads. At a natural frequency of 0.5Hz, it provides isolation efficiencies of 93% at 2 Hz, 99% at 5 Hz, and 99.7% at 10 Hz.
The MK52 can be configured for a wide variety of locations and applications — wherever external vibrations can adversely affect the operation of sensitive equipment. Ultra-low natural frequencies, high internal structural frequencies, and excellent vertical and horizontal isolation efficiencies make the system well-suited to a wide variety of applications.

[ Send Enquiry ]The 5300 Series is designed for the ultimate performance in an optical table. It features quad-tuned dampers in each corner to provide maximum stability and minimum response to vibration disturbances. Coupled with broadband damping throughout, the proprietary epoxy bonded steel and honeycomb tables assure unsurpassed rigidity and stability for demanding applications.
Designed for critical optical research, the 5200 Series from Kinetic Systems offers the same 1/16" thick ferromagnetic stainless steel table top and precision construction as the 5300 Series, with a combination of dual-tuned damping and broadband damping for comprehensive vibration absorption. To protect against leaks and spills, the SPILLPRUF configuration provides a safety barrier between the top skin and honeycomb interior.
The high-precision 5100T Series laboratory table features tuned damping. It has a 1.19mm ferromagnetic stainless steel top and is identical in construction to the 5300 and 5200 Series optical tables. It differs only in the amount of vibration absorption provided.
The 5100H Series laboratory table has broadband damping using our proprietary epoxy formulation. It has a 1.19mm ferromagnetic stainless steel top and is identical in construction to the 5300 and 5200 Series optical tables. It differs only in the amount of vibration absorption provided.
This optical table is designed for use in applications that are subjected to minimal vibration. The 5100 Series offers broadband damping and the same construction as the 5100H Series, including a proprietary epoxy-bonded steel honeycomb core, ferromagnetic stainless steel top skin and carbon steel bottom skin, for superb rigidity and stability. The difference between the 5100 and the 5100H is thinner top and bottom skins.
The 500 and 505 Series Legstands for optical tables are available in three load ranges with three different levels of isolation efficiency.
VIBRALITE breadboards are available in five grades for OEM applications, prototyping, instrument bases, mounting small optical systems, and other uses requiring a flat, stable surface. Thinner and smaller than full-size optical tables, these "mini-tables" are built with the same precision tooling and high quality materials. They are furnished with SPILLPRUF tapped mounting holes and elastomeric iso feet.
Our platforms for large equipment offer you maximum flexibility and choice. We offer sixteen proven modular configurations to optimise your application.
BaseMate designs feature a proprietary two-stage pendulum and airmount system that provide omnidirectional vibration isolation. Stage one is a low stiffness/high performance Active-Air levelling support system with very low vertical natural frequency to maximise the vertical isolation efficiency. Stage two uses a tri-filar pendulum assembly that acts in conjunction with the airmount system to provide a stable cradle support with a low horizontal natural frequency. This, combined with viscous damping, maximises the efficiency of the horizontal isolation. Because the BaseMate's pendulum assembly does away with the need for the corner lift bracket used by most manufacturers, the resonance they produce is eliminated and an overall improvement in performance is immediately achieved.
Automatic levelling and height controls are incorporated for convenience and stability. The standard BaseMate platform is a 75mm thick damped rigid epoxy laminated "sandwich" with 13mm steel top and bottom plates and a 50mm highly damped composite layer with our exclusive constrained layer damping.
Vibration-Free Islands offer an economical control method for applications where equipment needs to be isolated from surrounding raised flooring and building vibrations. Warsash Scientific has provided systems for use with raised cleanroom floors from 300mm to 1800mm high. They provide an excellent alternative to poured in place isolation pads, and can be relocated in the future to reconfigure rooms.
We are able to supply the most advanced sub-floor vibration isolation system. By adapting the BaseMate (9300 Series) Pendulum Platform, from Kinetic Systems, for installation in the return air plenum beneath the "deck", we provide a system for cleanroom space economy. It is recommended that the BaseMate Vibration-Free Island be used to maximise isolation of sensitive electro-optic systems from vibration caused by footfall traffic and air handling equipment on raised decks. Warsash Scientific can tailor a system to match your equipment.
The Series 1206 VIBRAPLANE Individual Mounts are ideal when designing or retrofitting sensitive equipment. They use the same isolation techniques as our workstations and platforms, and perform exceedingly well in new equipment or to retrofit existing applications that don't fit the standard table or platform.
VIBRAPLANE mounts are offered in active and slave configurations. Active mounts use the VIBRALEVEL Air Servo Valve to feed or bleed air from the mounts to maintain preset "zero deflection" and compensate for load changes. Since the easiest way to establish a plane uses three points, three active mounts should be used per system regardless of the total of number of mounts used. Slave mounts do not have Air Servo Valves but are slaved (controlled) by one of the active mounts. The number of slave mounts is a function of configuration and load.
Warsash Scientific sources a wide range of custom products for applications that require specific attributes or configurations not available through the standard product offering.
