Analog Modules designs and manufactures a wide range of analogue electronic products for the laser and electro-optics industries. These products serve applications in medical, military, scientific, and industrial markets.
Products include laser diode drivers, Pockels cell drivers, laser power supplies, capacitor charging power supplies, CW arc lamp power supplies, pulsed flashlamp drivers, laser diode drivers, simmer supplies, laser rangefinder receivers, laser spot trackers, Photodetector amplifier modules, HV bias supplies, fibre optic links, fast peak pulse stretchers, transimpedance amplifiers and logarithmic amplifiers.
Laser Rangefinder Receivers are designed for laser ranging applications in which high sensitivity and fast recovery are required. The hybrid versions are designed to meet MIL-STD-883D requirements. Either a silicon avalanche photodiode (APD) or an InGaAs PIN photodiode or APD is available to detect 1.064µm or 1.55µm wavelengths. Different receivers also are available to accommodate pulsewidths ranging from 0.5ns to 30ns FWHM.

The detector is temperature controlled and optimised for 1.06µm. Independent five channel noise detectors set the lowest thresholds to achieve long acquisition ranges for different background light and spot positions and special circuits resist sunlight blinding in any one or all quadrants. A range of N-type custom-designed detectors gives the highest performance at 1.06µm. A separate substrate allows the detector size or type to be optimised for your application.
This model comprises a hermetically-sealed temperature-controlled detector with built-in front-end electronics, mounted on a SMT board. A second printed board contains analogue and digital processing circuits. The individual channels are digitised with a high-speed A-D converter and output as a serial digital interface for steering. An adaptive threshold control allows optimum signal-to-noise operation and power management is used to reduce power consumption.

The compact construction (modified TO-8 header) and PCB mounting capability make the 7510 ideal for miniature applications. The thermo-electric heater/cooler allows the highest performance to be achieved with an external control circuit.

The Model 611A Pulse Stretcher outputs DC levels equal to the peak value of a single narrow pulse down to 20ns FWHM. Fast independent resets facilitate processing of complex multiple events. The DC output level allows for post processing at slower speeds.

The compact size and shielded metal case make the Model 520 Series attractive for a variety of low noise biasing applications. The 523/524 versions are compact, hermetically sealed, designed for very low noise and ideal for military APD biasing applications.

Based on a modular design approach, each controller is optimised for a given application or specific customer need. The 8800 series from Analog Modules provides a capacitor charging power supply, fixed or variable pulse forming network, simmer supply and all the electronic circuitry needed to drive flashlamps for pumping solid-state lasers. Software control allows operating parameters such as pulse energy, pulse repetition rate, pulsewidth, and mode of operation to be easily altered. Complete control of timing signals for multiple lamp and Q-switched applications is also provided by the embedded software.

This range of simmer supplies are powered from a 24VDC source and provide both a built-in automatic ignition restrike circuit and a post-flash boost mechanism. These features minimise the possibility of missing pulses when operating with a continuous train of laser pulses.

These OEM drivers offer reliable, high voltage pulsing in compact surface mount modules. Drivers include an internal high voltage power supply and provide a monitor to observe the high voltage output amplitude prior to the pulse. Pockels cell drivers meet the stringent reliability requirements for medical and industrial applications.
